Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, our grade II listed pub is set amongst rolling hills and woodland, 4 miles from Beaminster.

Undercover seating can be booked online. Seating without cover can be booked on the day or is available for walk ins. We cannot take bookings for uncovered seating in advance due to the unpredictable weather! We look forward to seeing you soon.

Open 6 days a week, The Fox Inn serves the best of British seasonal produce. Settle in by the open fire with bar snacks and a real ale or dine on locally sourced food and drink in the Garden Room with a wine list championing British winemakers.

English Charcuterie and Beer Supper

On February 2nd we welcome multi-awarding winning charcuterie Capreolus and local organic brewery Gilt & Flint to host the second of our Meet the Producer dinners.

David and Karen Richards’ artisan charcuterie is located just ten minutes away from The Fox. Sourcing locally-bred and reared free-range meat, they also cure and smoke seasonal meats from the West Country. David and Karen will co-host the evening, taking you through the range of charcuterie they supply us, which will be showcased in Mark’s menu for the evening.

Of course we need a great beer or two to pair our cured meats to, and we could think of no better than local brewers Gilt & Flint Organic Brewhouse.

Co-founder Dan Fitzpatrick will join Mark, David and Karen to tell us more about the lager, beer and stout that we will enjoying with the meal.

The Castlewood Annexe is a unique and luxurious duplex to the rear of The Fox Inn. The grapevines from the Devonshire vineyard Castlewood adorn the private entrance to the lounge. Upstairs you will find a stunning en-suite bedroom with Bramley toiletries to enjoy during your stay.
